There are probably more latch-key teens today than ever before.

In many households both parents are working full time and are out of the house before the kids and they don't make it back until dinner.

This leaves the teens to their own devices when it comes to eating healthy snacks and making great lunches. So why not teach them their way around the kitchen?

I was super excited to join the hosts of Rogers TV last week to show a couple of my favourite teen-friendly recipes. Maple Salmon and Flax Snacks are both healthy and simple recipes.

Watch the video for these great recipes and a few unexpected laughs!

For more simple By Design recipes why not pick up your copy of the Eat By Design Cookbook. I’ve created it in the form of a 28-day meal plan (plus grocery lists!) so you don’t need to think about what’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner for the next month.
