Today I want to talk to you about a side effect of eating By Design. It's a really good one!
But first, let me ask...
Do you hide food in your house that you are ashamed of?
Do you have food in your kitchen that you know absolutely should not be there, but you keep it anyways?
What I'm asking here is... how is your relationship with food?
If it isn't great, that's ok because this video will help and leave you with three clear action steps that you can start doing right away...
It is actually quite common that people suffer with dysfunctional relationships with food. Keep in mind that it IS common, but it is NOT normal.
This is how you should look at food... as moving you towards health, as giving you energy to do the things that you absolutely love.
If your relationship with food isn't great, you will typically use food for other things... as a coping mechanism when you are stressed, sad, lonely or bored.
Having a poor relationship with food looks different for different people. You may eat when you aren't hungry, or not eat when you are hungry.
But here is the good news...
Once you starting eating By Design something amazing happens at around the four to six week mark. Something just clicks and you understand the purpose of food. You understand that food is meant to fuel your life and help you do the things that you love to do.
And there's a reason for this. When you eat real food for a period of time your body signals change and you start to become aware of when you're hungry and when you aren't, when the food you eat makes you feel tired and when if gives you energy.
You start to naturally recognize what foods make you feel good and what ones do not.
Processed foods even start to taste bad, artificial and manufactured and you begin to appreciate real food so much more.
So here are the action steps I want to leave you with:
- Start eating real and only real food. If you don't know where to start, download our free Eat By Design 1-week menu plan.
- Write out what foods are not healthy that you cannot live without and find a place for them in your life so that eating By Design becomes sustainable.
- Take advantage of a 1-on-1 strategy session with at Eat By Design Coach to help you work through the challenges of eating when you aren't hungry, or not eating when you are hungry. To learn more click here.
